Sunday Roasted

Mo’s Desert Clubhouse will host the first ever ‘Sunday Roasted’ – a punk/psych rock mini-fest extravaganza on Sunday 7th July. Featuring some of the East Coast’s finest bands including Meanjin punks VOIID, Fungas, City Council, Square, Puff, Turp, Flukes of Sendington and Zenith, the line-up has more tasty offerings than Christmas lunch at ya Nan’s house. With bands on from 2pm -10pm, you’ll be tucked up in bed by 10:30pm to get your 8 hours in before work on Monday. Win win. “Socioanomaly”, the third EP released by Meanjin/Brisbane-based VOIID, cemented the band’s position as a colossal force in the Australian punk scene as well as their lifelong friendship. After playing alongside the likes of Amyl & The Sniffers, DZ Deathrays and WAAX, the band’s caustic magnetism has seen them grow a loyal community of followers who share their belief in a more equal future, as well as smashing a few guitars along the way to claiming it. Doors open at 2pm This is an 18 plus event.
